Interesting. I wonder what their pattern(s) look like. Radio-locator doesn't 
have it yet.

If I'm not mistaken, 540 is a Canadian (-Mexican?) clear. Being on such a low 
frequency where groundwave gets out really well, especially in the rich soil of 
the upper Midwest (see KFYR, CBK for some huge coverage), I would think they 
would need to take great effort to limit the signal to the north and west. On 
the other hand, Jackson Wisconsin isn't so far away to the southeast, and Fort 
Dodge Iowa isn't so far away to the southwest. Their assigned power of 1000/250 
might not seem like much, but given the above, this thing could really get out.
