AM's been pretty hot the few times I've checked, and this week was no
exception, dusting off my AOR 7030 Plus and Quantum Loop for their first
serious run at the 2011-12 season. (I'll get the wires out later this weekend,
want to re-lay some of them).

Woke up at 0500 - times are all EDT - this morning (Saturday Sept 11) and was
rewarded with:

790 at at 0522 with unID Spanish. Clip posted online (link is below). This was
my first tip that cx were good to the south. Reloj appeared at times, way in
the backgroind. Also had Louisville KY with "Sports Radio 790 and 101.7" ID.

620 at 0532 EDT is almost certainly a Mexican, as I am pretty sure I hear
"XE-something" in an ID. I just can't make out the other call letters. Again, a
clip is online - see link below.

690 KTSM El Paso TX, ay 0558, while a relog here (heard a few times last
winter), was awful strong and a first for the Quantum loop, which is doing a
good enough job with IBOC from 700 WLW.

830 was actually quite strong at times, and had two Spanish-language stations,
when I first checked there at 0550. But it was all music, with a couple of
brief ill-timed fade-downs. I did catch some talk at 0602 ... a few words
uttered by a female announcer in between songs. She could be saying something
IDable, or she could be expressing her wish for her morning coffee. It's a
little weak, at least for me to make anything out of it. The clip is online.

1070 Spanish - I am convinced I've a music-formatted Spanish-language target to
chase here, and that my unID here is not the Spanish ESPN station from NY State
widely reported last season. No recording woth posting as I didn't catch
anything but ballads at 0610. But I'll be baaaack!

1190 at 0624, as things were fading fast. There's some Spanish talk in there,
not clear enough for my own ears but maybe there's something IDable. 1190
doesn't often yield Spanish here, compared with other so-called clears. It was
mixing with a Country statiuon"the all new country 1190". I taped calls, but
it's a bit jumbled. My guess is WIXE NC but maybe WSDQ TN... Clips both online.

Any help with the unIDs is appreciated, with thanks.

I'm up here just for the weekend...so hopefully a bit more of this the next two
nights.
