I've been very fortunate to hear Turkey on 180 KHz during the Ramadan of 2008 (Sept 21 actually @ 23:43 UTC). Except for a carrier at a het strength on a very few occasions, I never heard it again (nor I saw any carrier). On the following clip, there's a woman in Turkish then music:

http://www.quebecdx.com/turkey_femalevoice_180.mp3 A part of the ID came at sec.2 "...Ankara dan" ("From Ankara" Thanks to Udo Deutscher for help).

Another of my favourite clip is that musical segment recorded that same night: http://www.quebecdx.com/turkey_full_180.mp3

My equipment at that time:
Icom IC-R75 with some of the Kiwa mods
Software Ham Radio Deluxe
ant: 950 footer terminated Beverage @ 55° (Europe & Middle-East)

I have never heard Turkey, but it was logged by someone in the NW on
1017 kHz (I believe). TAs are tough for me as I have a hill to the NE of
me.
