Sad situation unless you're a big fan of WNKR. Northern Kentucky University has bought Braden stations, WPFB AM & FM in Middletown and WPAY AM & FM in Portsmouth and they all simucast WNKR now. Except for 1400 which they have turned off. As soon as they took over they cranked up a begathon with the old "donate or be won't be able to stay on the air". Big stink in Middletown as this is the first time in a million years that Middletown Middies high school football hasn't been on WPFB. SO much for local radio, huh?
