Greetings everyone, Well, as I had hoped, there was a return of Filipinos this morning. I did not get any further than siting on several frequencies from 1350-1430, hoping for a new one to ID, but no luck. Some of the old ones I did hear.
531 JAPAN, Morioka JOQG coming in quite nicely at 1335 with man in JJ, over weak DUs (presumed) in the background. 9/24 (PM-OR) 540 PHILIPPINES, noted Tagalog talk at 1345 9/24 u/ CBC (presume CBXQ), but too buried to make a lot out. Used to hear DYRB Cebu in the past. (PM-OR) 558 PHILIPPINES, Metro Manila, Pasig, DZXL a nice "D-Z-X-L at 1358 9/24 above JOCR. Sounds like the RMN stations are still using the echo type call IDs they have been using for years. RMN stations have been great on frequenct IDs too. (PM-OR) 567 PHILIPPINES, UNID Tagalog tak in the jumble briefly over JOIK at 1350 9/24. (PM-OR) 594 JAPAN, Tokyo JOAK again "local-like" with woman in JJ at 1340 9/24, at S9+. (PM-OR) 603 REP KOREA, Seoul, HLSA good with man in KK at 1355 9/24 (PM-OR) 612 AUSTRALIA, Brisbane 4QR, one of the few DUs noted this morning, but was torn up by Japan and a Filipino (Maybe DYHP?) at 1406 9/24. (PM-OR) 639 CHINA/PHILIPPINES, China on top with music an man in Tagalog, buried at 1410 9/24 (PM-OR) 666 JAPAN/ PHILIPPINES, JOBK mainly dominant, but bits of Tagalog undereath at times at 1406 9/24. Both DZRH and DXRP have been logged here, so it could have been either. 729 PHILIPPINES, buried in the odd freq garble with a woman in Tagalog at 1409 9/24. (PM-OR) 891 THAILAND, Fair on top of JOHK at 1356 9/24 in passing. Not as strong as yesterday, at least at the times I passed by. (PM-OR) 1017 PHILIPPINES, here is the channel I sat on most of the time. The only time I would move briefly is during a musical selection or a fade down. Basically 1358-1430 9/24 off and on trying to pull an ID, Sounded like a musical contest. People would sing with a guitar and then the female would announce the next performer. At 1415, they paused for results of a race, then back into program. The music the performers were playing songs like old Spanish ballads sung in Tagalog. This was still going on until after 1430, with still no ID caught. I have logged DYRP Iloilo City here, and there are 4 others, Davao City, Surigao City, Dugupan and another one on Luzon, so any guess is possible. There is always tomorrow. (PM-OR) 1161 PHILIPPINES, another Filipino noted here at 1417 9/24. Several listed. Logged DXDS Unix of Mindanao years ago.
