Listened this morning from 13:05, and still have JOUB at good strength on 774 at 14:40 UTC with their sign off ID and anthem. Conditions this morning were very good indeed, with a very nice mix of Asian and DU stations. One of my best mornings this season. SF 118, A 8, K (12:00) 3 with no space weather storms past, nor predicted for the next 24 hours. Seems the sun has finally calmed down for a bit. Highlights for me were several NZ stations (both RNZ National and Newstalk ZB, both which have internet audio feeds for easy // checking). Here are my results:
LW: a bit down compared to the last couple of days. Only heard 153 with 6.5 signal 529: SQM at 7.5 558 567: 8 level JOIK, Sapporo //594 at 14:01 594: 9 level JOAK Tokyo at 14:01 603: 7 level at 14:01 ?HLSA 612: 7 level 4QR Brisbane at 14:01 621, 639 657: 7 level presumed N. Korea at 14:03 666: 7 level prob JOBK Osaka 702: 8 level with 2 carriers: 702.000 and 702.05. Latter is always present and is N. Korea. Stronger was NHK2 (likely JOKD Kitami) with English lesson at 13:21 738: 7 level. Would be an easy catch except for +++ splatter from 740 at 14:06 747: 9 level JOIB Sapporo at 13:05 756: 7 level at 14:07. Strong signal but low modulation so not sure who. 765 774: 9 level JOUB Akita at 13:24 792: 9 level with English guitar vocal at 13:29. Really pounding in. Probably 4RN Brisbane. 801: 6.5 level at 14:08 819: 8 level RNZ National, Tauranga // to their internet stream at 14:10 ( http://www.radionz.co.nz/audio/live/national/adaptive.asx) 828: 8.5 level JOBB Osaka at 13:57 846: 6 level at 14:11 855: 2 carriers 855.000 and 855.105 7 level (latter in N. Korea. Not sure of the first). 864: 7 level at 14:13. Pretty sure it was HLKR 873: 6.5 level at 14:16 882: 7 level with music at 14:17 ?Southern Star, Auckland 891 918 6.5 level at 14:18 927, 936: both at 14:18 at 6 945: 7 level and easily much better with CNR1 at 13:55 if not for 950 splatter. 954: 7 level at 14:19 963: 6.5 level at 14:19 972: 7 level at 13:53. Never much better, despite Nick's DX Fishbarrel showing it to be very strong. 1008: Newstalk ZB, Tauranga at 7 level. Low modulation, but strong carrier at 13:51. // to internet feed found at: http://www.newstalkzb.co.nz/audiofeaturesinterviews.asp 1017, 1026: both 6.5 level 1053: 8 level KK jammer at 13:50 1098: 8+ level OC (Marshall Is) 1107 1116: 4BC Brisbane at 9 level at 13:49, and still strong at 14:20 1143: 8 level RNZ National, Hamilton at 14:20 1152: 7 level Newstalk ZB Timaru 1161, 1188, 1206, 1215, 1251 1269: 6.5 level 1287: 7 level JOHR Sapporo 1314 1512: 7 level at 13:40 and 14:30. 2RN Newcastle. 1566: 9 level HLAZ with Gregorian chants at 13:39. Was still there at 14:55. 1593 That's it for this morning.
