It's a moot point now. My head started to spin with all of the suggestions from people on how I could fix it myself (which I didn't want to do in the first place) and the numerous offers I got for repairs, so I've simply decided to hit the eject button and sell it back to the guy in Washington state who bought it from me in the first place. Reason? It's a radio that's 20 years old now, and I just decided I didn't want to put the time and effort into something that's become obsolete and where the company doesn't even carry the parts for it anymore.
