Guy's description of conditions pretty much similar for here, minus 657 of
course, as it rarely survives the trip over the Vancouver Island mountains. I
made some recordings of tops of the hour earlier on, and 774 was pretty
consistent; it had CC talk at 0900UTC //747 (Chinese news per the NHK schedule
on the web, if I'm figuring it correctly and Babelfish can be believed), and
was almost always there when later recordings were checked, but didn't peak
until closer to sunrise.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):

774 JOUB but not at this level until 1440UT w/ piano mx

reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

747 JOIB at various times //774
828 JOBB //774 at 1441
1566 HLAZ man singing at 1459UT
1593 CNR-1 CC talk, pretty much always there from 1430UT onwards, though rarely
this strong (1444UT), and even then, quite murky. CNR pips on hour mixed with
NHK pips, though no other sign of NHK audio.

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be
understood by a native speaker

594 JOAK
1503 JOUK //594 at 1458UT, woman talking

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

567 JOIK //594 1453UT, woman talking
693 JOAB //774 deep in CBU splash, 1430UT
873 JOGB //774 at 1440, piano mx
945 CNR1? hints of female talk that seemed parallel to but leading? 1593.
972 often a good strength carrier, but little audio

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

603, 702 rough het (N. Korea?), 1287 (a surprise)

Given that most of the big guns never made it to comfortable readability, this
could hardly have been called a good TP morning here....

best wishes,
Nick
