I heard them here in central Illinois last night for the first time in years; they may be running ND at low power. I used to hear them regularly back in the 90's but now they are extremely rare. I believe WFED (then WTOP) and KSTP made some slight adjustments in their nighttime patterns several years ago to relax their nulls toward each other and improve groundwave to the suburbs in their nulls. After the change, KSTP skywave remained audible in this direction, but WFED disappeared. 1500 around here is a normally combination of WLAC slop with weak KSTP and WLQV underneath.
