Unlike it seems, everybody else, I had great reception today, especially from China. There was a pronounced dawn enhancement, especially to Australia, and especially on the lower frequencies as well. All this was duplicated on Nick's DX Fishbarrel. Unfortunately, I had to work today, so my listening session ended before the DX did. I monitored between 14:53 and 15:39. SF 140, A 9, K (12:00) 2. No space weather. As always, "6" unless otherwise stated.
558, 567, 603, 612: all 7 level and late (15:31). Nothing earlier. 612 was Brisbane. 774: 7 level, probable NHK2 at 15:02. Lot's of splatter. 1008, 1044 1098: good level OC 1116: 7 level music, probably Australia at 15:30 1143, 1161 1188: 7 level at 15:36, but with lot's of splatter. 1215: 7.5 level CNR1 at 15:07 1224, 1242, 1269, 1278 1287: Surprise of the day. I was assuming the JJ station. 7 level at 15:11, but 8 level at 15:27 and definitely // to other CNR1 stations. 1305, 1314 1323: 7 level, prob CRI 1332 1359: 8 level CNR1 at 14:59 1377, 1422, 1467 1548: 7 level, but too much splatter to be sure whether China or Australia 1557: 7 level, later (15:38) 8 level WYFR, and sounding like a repeat broadcast of Dr. H Camping 1566: 8 level HLAZ 1575: VOA 7 level at 15:18 1584 1593: 9 level CNR1. Really booming in at 15:18. This frequency is the star performer for this DX season for sure! 1602 Not a bad catch at all, and there may have been many more, had I not had to go to work today. 73,....Walt _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list IRCA@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: irca@hard-core-dx.com
