It's a Grundig portable with a whip. It used to belong to my Dad. "Junk"
may be understating it, but it's a far cry from the other rigs I use with
antennas! When I use this radio and someone turns on a flourescent light
somewhere else in the house it sounds like a buzz saw. And it is only used
for listening to the radio while showering and shaving. Who knows what kind
of moisture it's been absorbing. Jim

When you have over 2000 stations logged its rare to get a new one on the
car
radio. I think it's even rarer to get a new one on the junk radio in
the
bathroom while taking a shower.
But I got a new one at 8:00 AM on Sunday morning. During a brief dead
air
gap at ID time on WXXI 1370 I heard "WRWD" (Scott must have been using
the
cough button on the mike). That's Ellenville NY, a daytimer. Previously
loggged as WELV. Usually in the morning it's the Toledo station under
WXXI,
or the Roaring Springs PA station (is that one even on any more?)
