Happy New Year to you, Colin! I'll be looking forward to those reports. I remember how bad the noise was for you last year. Something I have found depending on which hotel/condo you happen to be in. You can have terrible noise, while the place down the street can be super quiet. I found a lot has to do with the lighting used....Those sodium vapour lights were a real killer. Nice to hear your noise level is actually quieter than my S3 to 4 levels at home in Victoria on 31 meters, but S5 on 49 meters, and S2 on 41 meters. Are you reading those noise levels on something calibrated? Assuming that you're at the same spot in Kona? They were hit pretty bad with the Japanese earthquake/tsunami from earlier this year, I think. Take care, and 73.......Walt PS: good to hear about 738 Tahiti, since it's so common to hear them with very low modulation. Have they fixed this issue?
