KFJL looks to be a brand new station, the license was just granted December 14th. They are using a Kinstar antenna..
>From Kintronic's Labs Website: <http://www.kintronic.com/images/kfjl.jpg> KFJL-AM Radio licensed to Central Point, Oregon just recently completed the installation of a new KinStar AM low profile antenna for operation on 1400kHz with a 1kW transmitter. The wooden utility poles used to support the KinStar in this case are 65-feet above the ground level yet this antenna has comparable efficiency to a 176-foot tall standard broadcast tower that is approximately three times the KinStar height with audio bandwidth that is suitable for AM Ibiquity HD radio. This antenna concept was originally conceived by Star-H Corporation in Lancaster, PA and was developed into a marketable broadcast product as a result of a joint development effort between Star-H Corporation and Kintronic Labs. The KinStar has been type accepted by the FCC for full time omni-directional operation in the US market. The KFJL antenna is the fourth KinStar that has been installed, which is evidence that the unique features of the KinStar are being realized by a growing number of broadcasters. Please contact us today if you have an interest in installing one of these eco-friendly AM antennas in your market. http://www.kintronic.com/images/kfjl.jpg On Fri, Jan 27, 2012 at 11:06 PM, Patrick Martin <[email protected]> wrote: > Wow!
