I think there's a valid point here - one that's been hashed through on various DX lists and in bulletins for a long time. If a station is operating illegally, it's a DX opportunity to be taken advantage of and once it's logged it quickly becomes a pest. That is pretty much wanting to have it both ways depending on whether it benefits or interferes with our DX activities.
While some have argued that Paul could have held off a bit with the notification, I can still see both sides here. It's a judgement call, and as I said earlier, if it results in a DX test or a few, then it's all to the good. My own time to spend DXing is very limited. So Tips and DX tests represent the best opportunity for me to log new stations. I'm protective of these lists, and the people who give generously of their time and expertise to post them. Paul--you're my friend, and I stand behind you.
