Today we leave for the Utah desert where we plan to gather specific
information on signal performance, comparing a BOG of varying lengths to an
elevated 1800-foot Beverage. We're using a pair of SDRs; looking both ways
during the measurements.
We'll also gather information on ground/counter-poise effectiveness in what
should be pretty dry soil. Then we'll point at Alaska.
We do plan on streaming video from the site, if 3G coverage is adequate. If
we can make it go I'll post a "broadcast" schedule here.
Will share results and conclusions upon a successful return.
