I use and recommend Total Recorder, available from the folks at www.highcriteria.com. I am currently running 3 receivers 24/7 and 4 others roughly 16/7 on 3 different computers. What is needed is a separate sound card to input each signal source to the system. It can be an internal or an external sound card. With Total Recorder, you can pre-schedule recordings. I have a set of 48 half-hour recordings for each signal source/sound card combination, offset to that the end time of one recording is 5 seconds before the start of the next. Usually that prevents any possible overlap, because if the first one hasn't finished when the second one wants to start, the second one may not.
Others use other software, and other means of setting up timed recordings but I've found this to be very flexible and also cost-effective.
