Hi Walt and Patrick,
Thanks very much for your generous comments.

Well, John certainly invested a lot of time and effort into organizing
the Ultralight radio group also, and he probably deserves to be on the
Pop Comm cover more than me (or else Rob Ross, Allen Willie or Richard
Allen). Each of those gentlemen has run circles around me in ULR-DXing.
Unfortunately I have no influence over the Pop Comm editorial decisions!
73 and Thanks,
Gary DeBock (in Puyallup, WA)

I'm a PopComm electronic subscriber, so haven't seen my copy yet. Last
time someone "famous" was on a cover was John Bryant (Monitoring Times)
all
about his Easter Island DXpedition. Congratulations, Gary! .......Walt

Hi Gary,
Congratulations on making the Pop Comm magazine cover for July! (Will
you
autograph my copy? :^)
Sooner or later, "our fair city" of Puyallup is going to be known as
the
Birthplace of Ultralight Radios and you will need to charge admission
to
all the folks trekking to your backyard, a.k.a. the *Loop Antenna
Testing
Facility*.
Anyway, well done! Congrats are also due the Pop Comm editors for
helping
to publicize this exciting niche of the radio hobby.
