I listened for Asian radio signals this morning (9-11-12). While there were traces of a signal on 594, 693, 828, 972 and 1053 kHz, audio was only heard from one station. JOIB, 747 kHz, Sapporo J, faded in at 1156 UTC with an OM talking in JJ, peaking at a poor level before fading away at 1159. Receiver was a PL-310 with 7-inch FSL antenna.
Conditions have been improved the past few days. It meant I was able to listen to several baseball games from the teams' home stations last evening. The Cincinnati-Pittsburgh game on WLW 700 kept the fans up well past midnight. The Reds finally won in the 14th inning. CFZM 740 was audible before local sunset here, at times over nearby pest KRMG. Good DX everyone. Richard Allen, near Perry OK USA. _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
