One year in Newfoundland major aurora completely wiped out Europe, leaving nothing but Algeria and the Canaries audible, but it was a rare opprotunity to snag Angolans and some other deep south Africa stations. Makes sense to aim for 1088 when 1089 is flattened.

Subject: [IRCA] Trace of the 1088 Angolan

Very weird propagation here as cx hardly tent to recover from the last storm. Now at 19:20 EDT, a faint trace of the Angolan on 1088 but UK's 1089 remains totally deaf as it is for most of the MW band!
