WMOB is a station that, over the course of some 20+ years, has cheated OFTEN 
with 5 kw non-D, so it most likely wasn't the 212 that they should have been 
running when you heard them.  They have, more or less, become a reliable 
indicator of auroral conditions on the MW band.  I'm really surprised the FCC 
hasn't cracked down on them.
