Hello All,

Transoceanic results in this DU-dead zone were not nearly as favorable as
those reported by Walt this morning, but then this location rarely has any
audio from either Australia or NZ-- and low expectations help in maintaining a
positive DXing attitude. The only indication of Australia was a moderate
carrier on 891, which never came close to audio. 738-Tahiti was back again
with fair French OM audio at 1405, but once again that was all that showed up
here from the South Pacific.
One change from yesterday was the appearance of very weak audio from a
couple of Korean big guns-- the first sign of an Asian TP recovery after the
extended aurora period. Along with threshold audio from 1575-VOA, this made the
band slightly more interesting this morning than yesterday (which was probably
the worst day of the entire season, with only poor audio from 738-Tahiti, and
no carriers from either Asia, NZ or Australia).

738 Radio Polynesie Mahina, Tahiti Fair French OM audio (apparent
             news) at 1405 http://www.mediafire.com/?9lj5vclvn2rm3cy
1134 KBS Hwaseong, S. Korea (presumed) Poor music rising above
            noise level at 1348
1566 HLAZ Jeju, S. Korea Threshold audio during Japanese Christian
           program at 1357
1575 VOA Ban Rassom, Thailand Poor Asiatic language OM speech
rising above noise level late at 1408

73 and Good DX,
