I recorded the entire band with the SDR again today from 1227 to 1442 UTC.
Conditions weren't as good as yesterday, but were slightly more strange.
There were a few carriers below 1000 kHz at about 1315, but they
disappeared after 1330 and never returned. The only one with audio was
Korea on 972 with a woman in KK briefly at 1325. Otherwise, I had
carriers on 594 657 747 756 774 and 981 that rose a few db above the
noise for a few minutes.
Nothing at all was noted between 981 and 1386.
There was a later opening at the top of the dial after 1400 UTC. I had
a couple minutes of "fair" CC talk on 1566 at 1405, and a few mumblings
on 1422 at 1403 and on 1593 at 1425. 1503 had NHK pips at 1400 but
little else. Carriers were visible on 1386 1404 1413 1431 1557 1575 and
1602 during that period.
That was about it for today.
