Hello All,

Yesterday's superb Asiatic conditions dropped off somewhat here this morning,
as the band seemed to slide back toward its typical lackluster state. There was
another decent sunrise enhancement (and propagation lasting until around 1450),
but unlike yesterday, very few of the TP's managed strong audio. Only 972-HLCA
came in at an excellent level (around 1420). Several Japanese big guns (594,
693, 747, 774 and 828) reached good audio at times but it didn't stick around
for long, and the Chinese on 603, 639, 738 and 936 kHz never managed to rise
above a poor-fair level. Unlike yesterday the second-tier Chinese on 1017, 1035
and 1044 kHz never managed audio at all, although several of them came close at
times. DXers hoping for a repeat of yesterday's great propagation probably were
disappointed, although the band was still quite a bit more vibrant than it has
been for most of October. Maybe it's best to have low expectations, in
consideration of the unfavorable solar cycle?
