Hello All,
This morning the Asiatic TP signals took a drastic downtown from yesterday's
superb levels as only the Big Guns managed any audio-- and even most of them
struggled to get up to decent signals. The only TP with really good audio was
972-HLCA again (at 1448), continuing its trend of greatly improved signals this
season. Several Japanese big guns (594, 747 and 828) made it out of the noise
with fair signals occasionally, as did the Koreans on 558, 657, 1053 and 1566
(if a DXer was willing to sit on their frequencies long enough). Threshold
audio from 603-Hulun Buir, 639-CNR1, 648-VOR and 1575-VOA rounded out the
lackluster TP-DXing session this morning, as all the second-tier Chinese were
long gone after yesterday's exceptional opening. Strangely enough the Asiatic
TP's still sounded pretty vibrant during a quick check at 0900 (during the
Asian sunset), so propagation must have dropped off somewhat during the past
few hours.
