Dennis,

Thanks for your comments, and I'm happy that you were also able to hear
603-China and 639-CNR1 this morning (along with the puzzling signal from
648-VOR).

It has been very interesting to read your detailed TP-DXing reports from Kalama
this season, and observe how your location seems to have the edge in reception
of the Japanese, but this location seems to have the edge in reception of
Chinese stations. Of course it is no contest with DU's and TA's... with the
occasional exception of 738-Tahiti on mornings with high solar activity, Kalama
seems to come out the winner every time!

Gary,

Thanks for confirming my reception of China on 603 kHz. Your many Chinese
receptions this morning gives me some targets to shoot for in the future. I was
surprised that VOR on 648 had a carrier with no modulation. Right before 1500
a
tone was heard for 5 seconds on and 5 seconds off. Will be interesting to read
what the other fellows in the Pacific Northwest heard this morning.

Best regards,

Dennis,
Kalama, WA
