Congratulations Walt, Your reception (and verification) of KRVN-880 during your Cook Islands vacation probably sets a new DX distance record for that form of hot-rodded Ultralight radio. The development of the Eton E100 Slider model (with Murata CFJ455K5 IF filter) was a joint effort by John, Guy and me in the summer of 2008.

It's a full sized 8x10 QSL with full details, and signed by Rodney V. Zeigler, Director of Engineering. Along with the QSL, Rod also sent a sticker and schedule and personal letter. For whatever reason, KRVN was heard on several nights in Rarotonga, making it the most regular US mainland station heard while I was there. It was fun listening to the station late in the evening in the Cook Islands lying in bed, or sitting on the veranda only using my small Eton e100 receiver with a Gary Deboeck modified external ferrite rod antenna. Many thanks to all for alerting Rod of my reception down there, and to KRVN for sending the goodies my way! 73,....Walt _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected] _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
