They filed a Special Temporary Authority to remain silent, granted January 25th, 2013 and valid until July 24, 2013.
ON JUNE 30, 2012 DAMAGING STORMS PASSED THROUGH GREENUP, KENTUCKY, CAUSING, AMONG OTHER THINGS, A FIRE AT THE TRANSMITTER SITE. SINCE THAT TIME, THE LICENSEE HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING MAINTENANCE ISSUES WITH THE AM ANTENNA, THUS CAUSING THE AM TRANSMITTER TO BECOME UNRELIABLE. THE LICENSEE HAS ENGAGED AN ENGINEER TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM, BUT HE IS UNABLE TO BEGIN WORK ON THE PROJECT UNTIL SOME TIME IN DECEMBER, 2012. THE ENGINEER HAS ADVISED THE LICENSEE TO SHUT DOWN THE TRANSMITTER ALL TOGETHER TO AVOID FURTHER DAMAGE. UNTIL THE LICENSEE CAN GET THE TRANSMITTER REPAIRED/REPLACED, IT IS ASKING FOR SPECIAL TEMPORARY TO REMAIN SILENT UNTIL IT CAN RETURN TO THE AIR AT LICENSED PARAMETERS. _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
