Today's enhancement caught me off guard. It was pretty dreary around 1420UT, just some action from the big guns, so got involved with real life, then realized at 1445UT that an enhancement was in full swing, especially in the upper half of the band. Mostly finished by 1500UT, so didn't actually snag much.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly): not today reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise): 1287 instrumental pop mx 1446UT, but no talk as I tuned by 1566 HLAZ man in CC 1447UT not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker: 594 man in JJ //1503 1455UT 747 JOIB woman in JJ 1452UT 972 HLCA man talking, instrumental mx 1451UT 1386 NHK2 synchros woman in JJ //774 and better strength Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) : 774 JOUB man in JJ //747 1448UT 1377 woman talking 1452UT, couldn't establish any parallels, though thought it might be NHK2 1503 JOUK man talking //594 1455UT, but there was a second station as well, slow singing or chanting, but pips were all that was left by 1500UT, and this was pretty much the last one left standing. 1548 unID woman talking 1447 and 1456UT, maybe EE inflection? Actually popped back up briefly at 1505UT Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): 612 1458 1476 best wishes, Nick -- Nick Hall-Patch Victoria, BC Canada _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
