After nothing new in November, December or January, two first-time loggings were made in February. 1110 WMUX Hurricane, WV - 2/3 0200 EST - IBOC from both directions (Cleveland N-S and St. Louis E-W) makes 1110 nearly non-DXable until sunrise, so I don't spend much time here. But Saul Chernos in Toronto heard WMUX the night before (2/2) with EWTN Catholic programming around 2am. So I tuned by out of pure curiosity a little before 2am and heard somebody mixing with the digital hash and (nowadays nearly non-existent) WBT. At 2:00, I could make out soft-spoken male saying " ... listener-supported ... West Virginia ... WLUX Dunbar 1450 AM, WMUX Hurricane 1110 AM, WNUX Montgomery-Beckley 89.7 FM", then the EWTN chimes. 1kw daytimer on at night for reasons unknown. First 1110 newie in 26 years! 1430 WTMN Gainesville, FL - 2/27 0315 - Very good (not 45 watts) with Urban Gospel from Sheridan's "The Light" net, quarter-hour break with ads, net sounder and "1430, Gainesville's Inspiration Station." Thanks to Willis Monk for the tip on this one! 1430 #35 and cleans up the five Gainesvilles here.
