Hello All,

The Highway 101 road side ocean cliff finally managed some vibrant
Australian signals this morning as the typical Kiwi-slanted propagation let up
a little. 774-3LO, 828-3GI and 891-5AN had their best signals this week by far,
and less common Aussies were showing up on secondary frequencies as well. The
enhanced Aussie propagation didn't slow down the Kiwis, though, and
828-Trackside made its first appearance of the week right when 3GI was the
strongest. It was a pretty wild morning as the Aussies and Kiwis competed on
various frequencies, and quite a bit different from the usual New Zealand
lockdown on this propagation-twisting Cliff.
With only one more day in the DXpedition this will be a short report, but
it has been an absolute blast to enjoy the freakish NZ signals this week, which
are no doubt a result of undiscovered propagation science related to the
geometry of the reception area. The vibrant NZ propagation continued without
letup all week, ignoring other propagation trends reported by DU-DXers near sea
level (even the Yachats DXpedition group, only 90 miles to the south). When the
full DXpedition report is drafted and MP3 links posted, I'm sure that the
evidence of cliff-related propagation enhancement will be convincing indeed.

73 and Good DX,
