The AR7030 was in production from 1996 to 2007. John Thorpe, the designer, started to design a replacement,
which became known as the HF7070.  The development team was later expanded.
There is an article about the HF7070 by Colin Horrabin, G3SBI, in the July/August 2013 issue of QEX.
