Hello All,
There were plenty of vibrant big gun signals from Asia here this morning, with
several second-tier stations also managing decent audio at times. 1323-CRI
started off the session with fair Korean speech at 1252, the first time that
it's been received here this season. 594, 693, 747, 774, 828, 972, 1053, 1134,
1566 and 1575 all had good audio at times this morning, with 594-JOAK and
972-HLCA reaching excellent levels around 1305.
Yesterday's monster performer 603-HLSA was back to a more sedate level, but
still had decent signals (and no Chinese co-channel) for its long music sets
after 1305. 738-BEL2 in Taiwan managed its best signals of the new season with
good audio (through some KCBS splatter) during its variety show and call-in
talk program around 1312, and 657-Pyongyang got in a fair tirade at 1315. The
star performer of the morning was 639-CNR1, though, which managed very good
signals (// 6125 kHz) with classical music late in the session at 1333. In
summary it was another exciting session, although yesterday's mixes of Chinese
and Korean stations on 603 and 657 didn't repeat for a second day.
603 HLSA Namyang, S. Korea Good strength pop music at 1307;
