Hello All,

After a pretty wild session yesterday the Asian signals returned to normal
levels today, with only certain of the Japanese and Korean big guns managing
very strong audio. These were 594, 747, 828, 972 and 1053, reaching their
strongest levels from 1330 to 1350. As is usually the case here, 972-HLCA was
the best of the bunch with Korean female-male conversation pegging the PL-380
S/N display around 1335 (as it has done on most days during this month). The
second-tier TP signals from yesterday were generally showing up this morning
also, although at weaker levels. 531-JOQG managed unusual fair audio through
the local TIS din around 1325, and 603 had a moderate mix of HLSA and China
(Hulun Buir?) around 1355. 657 had a mix of Pyongyang and a weak China (Henan?)
around 1358, and 936-Anhui reached fair audio (apparent Western music) at 1333.
The Chinese second-tier stations on 756, 918, 927, 981 and 1377 were playing
hide-and-seek with poor audio throughout the session, as were t!
he CRI stations on 1017, 1044 and 1323.

Both of the Taiwan parallels received yesterday (738-BEL2 and 1143-BEL3) were
in and out with fair audio, having the same Chinese male-hosted call-in talk
show taking calls (from ladies only) from 1310-1400. The only really special
signal in a pretty tame session was that from 963-CRI with its Russian service
at 1348, managing its best audio yet in the new season as it briefly hit a good
peak. Other than that, the morning was quite a drop off from yesterday's superb
session.
