Hello All,

It was another interesting morning for signals from the Asian mainland, with
overall results very similar to yesterday's. The big gun TP's were very vibrant
again, with 594, 693, 747, 774, 828, 972, 1053, 1566 and 1575 all strong at
times (774-JOUB and 972-HLCA especially so). A generous sunrise enhancement
lasted until about 1500 here, during which plenty of weak Chinese domestic and
CRI stations came out of the woodwork (although none of them were especially
energetic).

Early on (at 1320) 1323-CRI managed its best audio ever here, and 648-VOR and
657-Pyongyang were both acting like big guns throughout the session, hitting
their peaks around 1350. VOR was breaking through CISL splatter with its
Chinese service while Pyongyang pounded in with orchestral music during the
extended sunrise enhancement, although nearby 639-CNR1 had the typical anemic
Chinese signal this morning. 639, 918, 927, 936, 963, 981, 1017, 1035, 1044,
1323 and 1593 all had poor to fair Chinese audio at times during the extended
sunrise enhancement, although none of them sounded very vibrant. 558-HLQH,
603-HLSA and 738-BEL2 were also around at fair levels in and out all morning,
but never very strong. Best signal of the morning was again from 972-HLCA,
pounding in as usual with Korean YL conversation around 1410. Overall it was
another interesting session for the Asian mainland, although probably far more
interesting at Grayland.
