Hello All,

As Dennis has already reported, it was not a spectacular morning for Asian
signals (with a minor exception). The band showed promise around 1300 with very
good signals from several big guns, including 1566-HLAZ at 1300, 828-JOBB at
1310 and the 1053-Jammer at 1315. Unfortunately the sunrise enhancement didn't
enhance much, and even the big gun Asians seemed to slide downward from
1315-1400. The Chinese never really got untracked this morning, with only
738-BEL2 in Taiwan showing up at a weak level just before the 1400 TOH. From
1400-1430 the Japanese and Korean big guns on 594, 747, 774, 828, 972 and 1053
were in and out with fair to good audio, as all of the second-tier Asians
except for 603-HLSA (fair) stayed down in the noise.

Around 1430 the big gun 1575-VOA started making decent audio in and out (as it
has done for the past few days), but this morning it just kept getting stronger
as the other Asians collapsed, hitting its best signals of the season here at
1448 (with the usual Asiatic language speech by male and female announcers).
The only other Asians to make a late rally were 639-CNR1 and 657-Pyongyang
around 1440, both of which barely managed fair audio through domestic splatter.
The late 1575-VOA rally made the session somewhat more interesting, although
Dennis probably made the correct decision in turning off his NRD-545 early.

1053 Korean Jammer One of the vibrant big guns early in
the session with a good buzz at 1315; the
                    buzz slid downhill from there
