Continuing decline here in spite of Gary's observations, Japanese not
up to much, and nobody else was particularly vibrant, though 1575 and
972 had their moments. And, very erratic signal strengths. There
was some fade ins after 1530UT, but nothing like a couple of mornings ago.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
972 HLCA female ballad 1350UT following on from man and woman in KK.
1575 VoA woman and man in SE Asian language, woman mentioning
"V-O-A" 1421UT, peaking at 1445UT
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
1287 JOHR man in JJ 1416UT; still occasionally at this level 1531UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
567 JOIK assumed man in JJ 1425UT
774 JOUB man in JJ 1346UT
828 JOBB woman in JJ 1538UT, pretty much its best strength this
morning, an hour after local sunrise
891 unID female oriental vocal mx not //594; by the time a woman
started talking, was near unreadable in splash
1017 CRI assumed, man in KK 1404UT
1053 KK jammer 1352UT
1323 CRI female ballad 1531UT assumed this.
1566 HLAZ man in CC, at its best 1439UT; still struggling just before 1600UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music) :
279 R. Rossii? woman talking RR inflection 1405UT
594 JOAK, never really much above this level; ID'd //1503 at 1435UT
603 HLSA? woman talking 1426UT
639 CNR1 standard musical interlude after pips on the hour and ID by man.
747 JOIB? man talking 1532UT likely this; heard many times earlier at
this level
819 N. Korea. orchestral mx 1359UT, seemed //2850, long final pip at
1400UT, quite different from NHK.
945 CNR1 woman talking //981 1422UT
963 CRI? man talking, RR inflection, 1408UT, 1417UT
981 CNR1 man talking, CC inflection 1418UT, ID'd a little later //945
1503 JOUK man and woman talking //594 1435UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter):
153 189 558 621 702 738 846 864 873 918 999 1044 1143 1251
best wishes,
Nick
