Hello All,
Asian signals here this morning were certainly not impressive, but the results
were more like Dennis' version than those of Richard and Nigel. Once again the
session started off in a fairly promising state around 1315 (in total darkness)
with good audio from the NHK and Korean big guns on 594, 693, 747, 828 and 972,
plus some fair audio in and out from the second-tier Asians 558-HLQH, its //
603-HLSA, 648-VOR, 657-Pyongyang, 738-BEL2, 936-Anhui, 1017-CRI and 1044-CRI.
In contrast to yesterday the high band TP's were restored to normal strength
from 1315-1400, with 1377-CNR1 (presumed), 1503-JOUK and 1593-CNR1 managing
fair audio in and out for the first time in about 5 days here.
Like yesterday, though, the lack of any real sunrise enhancement boost left the
Asians floundering after 1415. A very mediocre boost was given to 603-China and
639-CNR1 around 1435, raising them up out of the noise to a poor level. None of
the Asians sounded very energetic during this late session time, although
603-HLSA did manage some fair peaks with its easy ;listening music, and
738-BEL2 did the same with its rapid-fire Chinese speech by male and female
announcers. 972-HLCA was the last to bite the dust around 1450, but it had
already fallen into anemia for an extended period. The overall propagation was
lackluster, and except for the restoration of high-band Asian signals, the
session was essentially a repeat of yesterday's mediocre situation.
