Hi Patrick, I've not had any trouble with my Grace Digital unit other than some chronically slow-to-connect sites which act the same when I try to stream them on my PC or mobile phone; but I see what you mean by a number of poor reviews and comments.
Craig's comments reminded me that I too have read good things about Logitech's unit. Perhaps that's the one to shoot for. I'm with Colin when it comes to choosing a "regular" radio for any important communications. I use the Internet radio or other streaming source just for entertainment.
