Thanks Bruce, The potent TP carriers showed up here this morning also, indoors (on the ICF-2010 spotting receiver), but they just weren't potent enough to provide motivation to go out in the back yard with the 22-pound FSL, and face the 15 degree wind chill. I admire the patience and determination shown by you, Nick, Nigel and Dennis to track down these marginal Asians every morning-- something that doesn't seem to be in my DNA. I would much rather concentrate on building bigger antennas during the winter season (and probably end up helping the Ukrainian ferrite sellers enjoy early retirement). 73, Gary -----Original Message----- From: Bruce Portzer <[email protected]> To: Mailing list for the International Radio Club of America <[email protected]> Sent: Fri, Dec 6, 2013 8:00 pm Subject: [IRCA] TP DX in Seattle on December 6 The low band showed significant signs of life today, a bit of a change from other recent days. Most of the action took place just after 1300 UT, which made me glad I was using an SDR recording. There was very little, if anything, to be heard after 1400.
