Hello All,

Although chasing Asian TP's in the back yard each morning doesn't exactly
provide the same level of excitement as tracking down exotic DU's on an ocean
side cliff while dodging 18-wheelers on Highway 101, this season provided some
surprisingly strong TP's from China, Korea and Russia. Many of the MP3's linked
below pegged the PL-380's S/N display at the 25 maximum (indicated with a
double asterisk**) and some of them were the strongest ever received here in 7
years (indicated with a triple asterisk***). In general the signals from the
Asian mainland have seemed significantly stronger here than last year, although
that may be due to a new 12" FSL antenna being used (which provides a major
sensitivity boost over last year's 8" model). Unlike the locations where the
other TP-DXers live, this particular spot has always seemed to favor signals
from the Asian mainland, and is only moderately favorable for Japanese signals.
