Hello All,

Asian signals had a revival this morning, especially on the high band.
1566-HLAZ was the star of the morning (with its Chinese service hitting an
excellent level around 1415), and a collection of other high band Asians were
boosted by a generous sunrise enhancement from 1515-1550.

Early on (from 1415-1500) not much more than 1566-HLAZ was showing much energy,
but the dawn of daylight around 1515 also boosted 1287-JOHR, 1377-CNR1,
1503-JOUK, 1575-VOA and 1593-CNR1 up to good levels in and out of the domestic
splatter. A brief check of the low band at 1540 also revealed fair signals from
594-JOAK and 603-HLSA in and out, although both were pretty anemic compared to
the high band Asians. 1503-JOUK had one of its best signals of the winter here
around 1545, along with 1287-JOHR at 1550. If Dennis was listening this morning
he must have received quite a few of high band Japanese, since he typically has
much better propagation from that area than I do. The sole survivor here at
1600 was again the overachieving 1593-CNR1, which managed to get through the
1590-Seattle splatter with fair to good signals for most of sunrise
enhancement. Overall it was a pretty average morning, but after the last couple
of miserable days it seemed like quite a breakthrough.
