Hello All,

A very short sunrise enhancement session from 1530-1550 this morning didn't
nearly produce the superb Japanese results that Dennis reported (as usual), but
there was one new surprise from that area.

Around 1530 there were modest Asian signals from 1503-JOUK, 1565-HLAZ, 1575-VOA
and a mix of two stations on 1593-- one of them obviously CNR1 in Chinese, but
the other one in Japanese. That was the first time that there has ever been any
Japanese signal on 1593 here, but since there was no NHK2 parallel available on
the low band at the time, there was no way to confirm its identity. The low
band had a mediocre revival around 1545 with 594-JOAK, 603-HLSA and an apparent
738-BEL2 coming out of the noise briefly to reach a weak level before the band
collapsed a few minutes later. Congratulations to Dennis for his new reception
of 1539-CNR1 in Geermu-- unfortunately that frequency is pretty much hopeless
here, with semi-local KXPA on 1540.
