The prices for this are just plain nutty. Two dual-feedline SuperLoops at a right angle would give you four cardioids (e.g. null E, S, W, and N) which is likely adequate for 99% of your DX. You can always phase one against the other to manage QRM for the handful of tough cases.
Cost of two dual-feedline SuperLoops? Probably under $250 if you fabricate the four 9:1 transformers and one or two 2:1 transformers required. Larger size antennas will be cheaper than smaller ones since you can likely get along without the need for a line amp (RPA-1, W7IUV, etc.) if the area inside each loop is 1000 sq. ft. (93 sq. m.). Mark Connelly, WA1ION South Yarmouth, MA << New review of the SAL-30 antenna system posted at: pvrc.org/Newsletters/feb14.pdf I've been lusting in my heart after one of the new Array Solutions Shared Apex Loop antennas for use in MW DXing. My lot would support the SAL-12, but I doubt it would ever pass muster with my neighbors and homeowners association. I'm curious if any AM DX'ers are using this antenna, and how it has performed.
