The low band was better today, with nice signals from a couple of NHK
stations at about 1300. The upper part of the dial was quite poor. The
sunrise enhancement consisted of carriers on 1557 and 1575 briefly
rising out of the noise.
Good - a native speaker would have understood most of it for at least a
minute or two
747 JOIB, man in Japanese // 774 1244-1254, much weaker at other times
774 JOUB, man in Japanese 1243 briefly good, otherwise fair-nil
Fair - a native speaker would have recognized words or phrases
594 JOAK, woman singing, then lively conversation 1322, otherwise
poor-nil
Poor - a native speaker would have been rendered clueless
972 HLCA, talk and parts of a song 1343-46
1566 HLAZ, weak talk 1342
carriers - 558 567 603 693 738 756 981 1557 1575
