Hello All,

Asian propagation was very good across the band this morning until around 1320,
when many vibrant TP's on both the low and high band seemed to fall off of a
cliff. Instead of any sunrise enhancement boost this morning there was a huge
sunrise degradation instead-- one of the most dramatic in recent memory.

At the 1305 start of the session 1566-HLAZ was the star performer, with
excellent audio in and out of the 1560 splatter here. The Japanese big guns on
594, 693, 747, 774 and 828 were all having some of their best audio in months,
along with 972-HLCA, the 1053-Jammer and 1575-VOA. Fair audio from 738-BEL2,
1134-KBS and 1593-CNR1 was also in the mix, and the question seemed to be which
exotic stations to go after. This unusually potent propagation seemed to peak
around 1310, at which time the entire band sounded very promising (especially
for the Japanese stations). The first sign of daylight around 1315 didn't boost
up any of the Asian signals, however, and by 1320 they were all in full
retreat. The potent big guns on 693, 747, 774, 828, 972 and 1053 quickly dived
into the noise, leaving only some miserably weak signals from 594-JOAK,
603-HLSA and 1575-VOA to finish out the disappointing session around 1340. Best
signal of the morning (excellent) was from 1566-HLAZ around 130!
5, although quite a few Japanese and Korean big guns delivered very good audio
prior to the dramatic propagation swoon around 1320. It will be interesting to
find out if Bruce or Nick (or maybe Dennis) experienced this dramatic Asian
drop off.
