Hi Bruce,
Sorry about your electrical noise issue on the lower band.
<<< Hopefully, Gary had better success in the cold
and rain of the Oregon coast. >>>
Actually it's pretty warm and sunny here in Grants Pass, OR (a real clunker of
an inland DX location, with hills on all 4 sides). But Chuck and Guy were
supposed to hit the Rockwork 4 cliff this morning, at the start of their
DXpedition. Hopefully they had some decent DU-DXing results. My own cliff
adventures are planned from Wednesday to Friday this week.
Hopefully the weather will cooperate, and not make us all think of Room 15 at
the Grayland Motel.
73, Gary

It was a rather dreary session today. The highlight was hearing a new
type of nasty-sounding electrical noise that wiped out most of the
meager DX at the low end of the band. The high band wasn't affected as
much, but the noise was still noticeable. I suspect conditions would
have still been lousy without the noise. Somehow, JOIB made it through
with an impressive signal for a couple of minutes. Otherwise, there
were very few TPs today. Hopefully, Gary had better success in the cold
and rain of the Oregon coast.
