Over the past week the carriers from DU have been becoming a bit
stronger and more consistent. Today one final broke through the audio
barrier (just barely, but beggars can't be choosers at this time of
year). Had traces of a man speaking on 891 khz. Likely one of the two
Aussies I hear there, but too weak to determine which one. Several other
carriers were close to audio level, with 729, 819, and 828 the most
noticeable. Unlike some other days of late, the higher freqs were
inferior to those in the 700-1100 khz range.
Not a terribly exciting log in itself, but its rather like seeing
the first robin in the spring, a harbinger of a new season.
