--- Begin Message --- My experience (admittedly '90s based, old DX Inn) with Brazil Beverages at Cappahayden is they were extremely directive. US and Canadian stations that dominated on portable or car radios simply disappeared. I remember that there were comments about the Bev being like a "searchlight aimed down Main St. in Fortaleza" or something to that effect.

The other thing that helps when you get as far east as Newfoundland is that the sunset terminator to eastern Brazil can provide viable propagation when the US and much of Canada are still in full daylight.

Thanks for the tip. This one was pounding in on the car radio. Very poor
modulation.  And missing all of the sound effects we know and love from
listening to Brazilian futbol in Newfoundland.  If this one continues to
stay on late it could mess up one of our Brazil channels when we return
there.
