Hello All,

As Walt and Bruce have already reported, Asian propagation improved to a fairly
strong level this morning-- especially for the Japanese and Korean big guns on
the low and middle band. Several weak Chinese stations also showed up on 738,
936, 1044 and 1323, and 657-Pyongyang managed its best audio of the new season
so far (fair).

At my 1245 start time the NHK big guns on 594, 693, 747and 828 were already
managing good audio in and out of the noise, with 594-JOAK the strongest of the
bunch during this predawn darkness. A presumed 738-BEL2 and 936-Anhui were
managing weak Chinese audio prior to 1300, but neither of these came up in
strength during sunrise enhancement. 1044-CRI was another weak Chinese station
showing up during the darkness, with ghostly Japanese speech in and out during
the session. As daylight increased after 1310 the Korean big guns increased in
strength dramatically, with 603-HLSA's Korean pop music (hosted by the
deep-voiced male) coming out of the noise to reach a fair to good level around
1330, 657-Pyongyang hitting a fair level around 1320 (with an angry-sounding
elderly female) and both 972-HLCA and the 1053-Jammer pegging the PL-380 S/N
display at times with excellent signals late in sunrise enhancement around
1345. 594-JOAK also got a major boost from sunrise enhancement, with the NHK1
"fun bunch" (the typical program on Sunday morning, here on the west coast)
laughing and giggling at a good level around 1330. 972-HLCA also had its
typical singing practice program on this Sunday morning, maxing out the PL-380
S/N both during the practice portion (around 1333) and the "final exam" (around
1344). 1323-CRI's strength also rose up dramatically very late in sunrise
enhancement around 1350, but the Russian-sounding speech only hit a fair level
before Asian propagation collapsed around 1353. 972-HLCA's singing practice was
the strongest Asian signal of the session, hitting a monster level around 1344.
