Hello All,

Asian propagation rebounded quite well here this morning, with potent audio
from the Japanese and Korean big guns right from my 1240 start time.
Second-tier TP's were very anemic, though, similar to what Dennis reported. A
lackluster sunrise enhancement didn't help matters, and the Asians bailed out
fairly early.

At my 1240 start time the NHK big guns on 594, 693, 747 and 774 were all
managing very good audio in and out, along with 972-HLCA and the 1053-Jammer.
The only second-tier Asian to rise above the noise at the time was 738-BEL2,
though, with the other usual low band Asians on 603 and 657 missing in action.
The high band was also fairly comatose, with only 1566-HLAZ rising weakly above
the noise. This situation continued right up through 1350, with the Japanese
and Korean big guns sounding very healthy while everything else was anemic at
best. The 1053-Jammer went on a romp around 1321 to peg the PL-380 at the 25
maximum, while both 594-JOAK and 693-JOAB were hitting strong levels all
session long. Sunrise enhancement around 1400 was another fizzler, however,
managing only to raise threshold audio from 603- HLSA and 657-Pyongyang. These
two bailed out after a few minutes, while 738-BEL2 finally packed it in for
good after anemic appearances in and out of KCBS splatter for over an hour.
Best Asian signal (by far) of the Big Gun Revue was the 1053-Jammer at 1321,
hitting an excellent level to max out the PL-380's S/N display.
